Land of A Thousand Hills coffee company was founded by an Anglican Priest in 2004. They buy directly from Rwandan coffee cooperatives owned by people who were former adversaries during the bloody civil war in Rwanda in 1994. Their stories are incredible tales of redeeming broken relationships through the love of Christ and creating community where evil was once rampant.
Our rector, John Yates, was introduced to this company at the Anglican 1000 conference—he heard their compelling story, drank their delicious coffee and now Holy Trinity Church is a partner in this ministry!
From now on, during our coffee hour we will be brewing Land of a Thousand Hills coffee. It is also available for sale for $12 a bag— you can choose from Rwanda Blend, Medium Roast, Dark Roast, Decaf, Espresso ~ whole bean and ground.
There is literature available on this exciting ministry on the coffee table and you can also check them out online at www.drinkcoffeedogood.com
